Stage Set Painter

City of Portland, University Park Scenic Studio, under the direction of Tony Maynard. Painted sets for plays and musicals and assisted in designing sets.
Indiana University Musical Arts Center. Painted opera sets for the School of Music under the direction of David Higgins, Harold F. Mack and Max Rothlisberger.

The unifying theme of my work deals with urban bureaucracy. Familiar obects from everyday life are combined to create a visual tension. I keep my paintings small to give viewers the intimate experience of being drawn into the work and bringing to each piece something in which to identify from their own personal mythology.
